Australia!

This was our next movie after watching Coach Carter and i think this one is awsome too..

Character selected: Nullah

Nullah is a major role to the movie. He who’s age is within 7-8 years old is an aboriginal half-cast child that was produced by her mother and Fletcher, one of the antagonist character of the movie. From the beginning, Nullah is seen to have a sort of relation to this land of Australia, a magical relation. He who was guided by his grandfather, King George said that their ancestors give the name to the animals, weather and everything on the land with songs. Without songs there’s nothing. Nullah has a long curly brown hair with a thin body. His english language is broken however everything that was spoken out from his mouth is sincere and decent. When Lady Ashley first came to the land of Australia, his grandfather told him that she would bring blessing to this land. Like a heavy rain after a long painful drought. Being a Half-cast has put him in a risky condition. The government thinks that the half-casts belong to them. The whites who wanted to conquer the land of Australia want to expel the aboriginal people from the land but it is not as easy as they think. Relation of the people with the land is somehow bonded with magic. Nullah also is filled with spirits though his physical looked small. When Lady Ashley was short of people to go droving, he volunteered himself to be one of the members. Though The Drover does not allow him to go, he insists.

Possessing a magical power to the land, Nullah seems to be able to control certain things when his heart wanted to. When the herd of bulls that they bring for droving went chaos, Nullah was at the cliff edge when thousands of bulls head straight to him. Nullah uses magic song that his grandfather taught him to save both himself and the bulls.

Nullah is also naïve when he approaches The Drover and Lady Ashley when they are smooching and address it as a bad side of a business. Living independent for years has developed a lot of courage inside him. He bravely gone to perform “walkabout” (coming of age) when he was captured and sent to live at mission island with the rest of half-cast children.

*Movie marathon* Coach Carter

The movie was based from a true story of a basketball coach, coach Ken Carter along with his basketball team in Richmond San Francisco. This type of movie is often enjoyable to watch
as it focuses in sports, and when a proper storyline is used.... effective outcome you'll get.

Plot:
Samuel L Jackson that plays the role as Coach Carter is an owner of a sports goods shop somewhere in Richmond. Despite his plan of spending his time with his lovely wife, a call from Richmond Oilers High changed his path from that day onwards. As a former graduate from Richmond Oilers, he was offered a job that he had never expected before... A basketball coach for his former school.. The current coach, Sir Ray White has done his best and yet the team seemed lost and continue to tearing apart.. He figured out if there is someone who can make changes its Carter.. Looking at the terrible performance and attitude of the boys.. Carter was pushed to take the challege.

Carter sets his aims in his mind.. Turning the boys into someone that are well balance in both in and out of the court.. Making them winners in every aspect.. Changing them from boys to men.. Using his own way, he knows the only way the boys can survive living inside the rotten community is by having education.. The boys was handed a piece of contract that they are forced to sign if they want to keep playing "ball".. The contract states that the boys must keep a 2.3 G.P.A in class, to go and sit in front of the class and wear a proper apparel during match day.. At first, the boys thought that its a "b*ll s***!!!"If i were in their place i would have think the same seriously.. Some of the players left knowing these ridiculous requirements.. however, after sending Cruz out of the gym for misbehave.. they know this carter guy is definitely serious and not someone they can mess with..

Carter's extreme workout routine and motivational advise made the boys break their mental and physical boundaries.. His advise is not mere advise, he manage to get the message landed deep inside the boys heart and this really produce something even to the viewers. Truly creative.. Damien the coach's son who eventually team up with the team had to work out his own way to earn the team respect.. Carter knows he had to treat everyone the same to make things work out.. this is a real joy to watch.. the boys were expecting carter to give him special privilege but no.. its not going to happen and in the end the team blends nicely. Everything seems to be place after the team was on a winning streak.. they were undefeated and heading towards the state championship when... the results of the boys came to his desk.. it was a blunder to carter when he founds out most of the boys were doing poorly in class.. He went to the extreme by locking the gym and canceling their practice and games. Though he faces the protest from the whole community, he still stand up to his principle that until the boys can show him an acceptable academic performance he wont let them play.. the community just cannot see what carters eyes view ahead.. they only think that this basket ball is the only way their children can have a brighter future.. if they fail thats it.. later on the community voted to end the lockout..

Carter was thinking to drop the position as coach.. However in his way to the gym he founds out the locks was already being cut off.. its a real surprise when the boys were inside the gym but not playing ball.. they were studying!.. it looked a bit cliche though still acceptable.. It is then he knows that the boys finally understand that their deepest fear is not the weakness but the strengh instead.. they were afraid of their strengh that made them playing small.. its was truly an inspiration especially when cruz was the one giving the message.. One of the best movie i have ever watched..
